What Is The Difference Between Love Based On Needs And True Love?
So some people believe that they love another person. But if you look closely they stay with this other person as this person fulfills some needs or makes them feel well. This has in my view not so much to do with love but more with selfishness.
What is in your view the difference between so called love based on fulfillment of some needs and so called “true love”.

Actually, in true love, you do everything for the wellbeing of the other person, even at the expense of your own needs.

i believe the only true love is between the mother and her children. the child needs the mother to take care of him/her, and the mother needs the child for emotional stability and joy. but if we are going to think like this “love based on needs”, then no one will enjoy love. let’s create a positive image instead of the negative one “love based on needs” . how about love fulfill our needs instead?.
real love to me is acomplished when you feel whole, no need for any emotional fullfillment what so ever.
It’s a mutual thing,You are a better person because of them,at the same time you are your own person,your life is better with them and hopefully that is shared by both.
Oh…true love is out there! For everyone. I happened to just stay with my husband because I can’t seem to find the strength to leave. That reason is NOT because how he makes me feel but how I will feel if I’m not careful.

actually you love a person because you need that person it’s like your day isn’t complete without seeing that person or talking to that person seriously, it has nothing to do with what you can get from that person by meaning that’s the need that isn’t love
I think most romantic relationships start as love, but love is an emotion, and emotions are fleeting, not permanent and made of stone.
In time love can fade, or perhaps it comes and goes, along with an endless array of other emotions as well, and when two people live together romantic relationship turns into a domestic partnership. Instead of staying up late looking into one another’s eyes, you’re staying up late paying bills, or doing laundry, or it’s your turn to change the baby. You used to talk for hours and now you talk a few scarce minutes a day, about money, and something some moron did to you at work, and the guy who cut you off on the parkway. You depend on each other, you lean on each other to keep a roof over your head and food on your table, and sometimes it’s like how it used to be, but that’s rare. It’s so rare it seems like a dream when it happens. Is that no longer true love? Because you’re not wild and free? Because you don’t get butterflies? Because you think about other things all day long instead of just daydreaming of that person?
You say if we look closely people stay together because the other person provides something that satisfies a need. Perhaps, but that’s not a complete picture, it’s just a piece.
Someone doesn’t want to be lonely, finds another someone who doesn’t want to be lonely, and they use each other because all the other bits of chemistry fall into place and they feel in love. Not everytime, not for everyone, but sometimes that’s how it happens, Does that make it fake?
Who stays in love with someone who makes them feel like worthless garbage? Who gives them nothing, no love, no support, no friendship? Is that acceptable true love? Because that also happens.
Love based on needs can turn into true love, and it works the other way around, too. But it’s rarely ever so cut and dry, maybe to an outsider it appears that way, but I can promise there are a dozen other elements working in every relationship, keeping it complicated as can be.
